Spring Clean Your Life!

Although the weather in some parts of the states would hint otherwise, today marked the first day of Spring! And what does that mean? Spring cleaning of course! I have to admit, I am NOT a fan of actual cleaning, but because of the seasonal change, I know my allergies are going to go crazy. Thus, I am practically forced to clean my room at LEAST once a week. This isn't something I naturally look forward to, but I'm on a mission to make it fun!
This brings me to my Spring cleaning mission. Over the next few weeks, I'm going to be doing posts on not only cleaning up my room, but doing an overhaul on my life and I want you guys to join me! I've been feeling a little down lately (winter blues maybe?) so I figured this would be a great jumpstart to getting back on track!

What exactly am I going to be "cleaning" you ask?

1. Surroundings

Yes, this means cleaning my room, but it also means KEEPING it clean and KEEPING organized. Did you know that having a clean, pleasant smelling room ca make you a kinder person? It's true, so get cleaning!

2. Wardrobe

Out with the old, in with the new! This is also a great way to do something good for the community by donating the clothing you're tossing to the Salvation Army.

3. Mental Health

This might be the most difficult. It's going to force you to dig deep and be 100% honest with yourself so you can push through the garbage and come out a healthier, happier person.

4. Physical Health

Yup you guessed it! You're going to have to get your bum off the couch (or bed in my case), put down the tub of Ben and Jerry's, grab an apple and get moving!

I can't tell you guys how excited I am to begin this life cleanse with you guys! It isn't going to be quick and easy, but when is anything that's truely worth it?
Tune in tomorrow to begin the cleaning! :)

Update..It's About to Get Serious.

I know my blog has become a bit overrun with fashion lately but, it was never my intention when starting this journey. I originally wanted this to solely be dedicated to food and health. So, what happened? Well, it all started with my Integrative Nutrition classes. I've always been a baker and had a slight obsession with food. Ok, maybe to the point where it was a bit outrageous! Any who, I ended up coming across IIN, where they teach you about not only diets (over 100 actually) and eating healthy for life, but also the importance of having balance in every aspect of your life. This includes relationships, spirituality, eating healthy, education, fitness, etc. If one of these is off-balance, it affects everything else. It can even change your entire outlook on life! Alas, I decided to make a blog about all of my newfound knowledge so that I could hopefully share the wealth and help people better themselves. Only it didn't happen like that. I felt like I wouldn't be able to share any of my tips because I didn't really have credibility nor did I have a full education on healthy living. Yet. The course I'm currently taking takes a year to complete, and is extremely fast-pasted. It's squeezing down two years worth of information into that year! Pure madness. Fortunately, they send you certification half-way through so students can start taking clients if they choose. I'm not sure if I'm ready for that responsibility right now but, I'm going to provide a link in one of the tabs at the top of my blog that will take you directly to my health coaching website, where you can fill out a health history form and get a FREE consultation by yours truly. :) If that doesn't interest you, then keep checking back for health tips and suggestions that will be posted weekly here on Do Good Feel Good. And don't worry, fashion won't be in short supply.

Thanks for stopping by!

Foodie Pen Pal

Hey Everyone! this past month, I was a "foodie pen pal"! Some of you may be asking yourselves what in the world is that?! Well it's pretty self explanatory really. You put together a box of your favorite goodies- all totaling $15.00- and send them to your assigned pen pal and you receive a box from someone else located in the U.S. It's super fun to gather stuff throughout the month! If you're interested in signing up to become a foodie pen pal or just get more information, click here!

My package came from West Virginia, so it wasn't too much of a voyage. Here are the things I got from my sender this month, Ashley. (Everything besides the honey is gone already!)

 Thanks Ashley!

Fall essentials
Follow me on Polyvore!

Autumn Essentials by kristenmmiller

1. Corduroys- in any color! I especially like dark ones like green, brown, mustard and berry

2. Gloves- I've been loving leather gloves as of late but, a knitted mitten is perfect, too!

3. Cable Knit Sweaters- love a good fisherman's sweater or fairisle

4. Crossbody Bag- I'm partial to smaller brown leather ones

5. Riding Boots- in brown or black with little to no heel

6. Blazers- navy, gray, black, brown, oxblood, herringbone, plaid, houndstooth. any will do!

7. Scarves- cable knit, neutral colors, or a bright red tartan is great!

8. Wingtips- a true classic. go for a brown leather that can match both browns AND blacks

9. Button Downs- again, any will do. white is a wardrobe essential for anyone's closet, but saturated colors are popping up everywhere for fall! don't be afraid to mix prints, too!

10. Thick Socks- need I say more? they look perfect with your riding boots, over stockings, AND pair a great argyle pattern with your wingtips and you've got a winning combo!
