Bake Time: Signature Oatmeal Cranberry Cookies

THIS, my friends, is my go-to recipe when I don't have a clue what to bake. I came up with this recipe back at the beginning of high school and I have yet to meet someone who doesn't like these. Even one of my high school gym teachers told me that I should market them! Hope you enjoy!

P.S. Considering this is my signature cookie, I'm leaving out some "secret" ingredients, but have no fear, it's only a few pinches of this and that :)

P.P.S. I'm in the process of making a healthier version of this recipe, too, so stay tuned!

Oatmeal Cranberry Cookies

INGREDIENTS:
1 cup unsalted butter
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup light brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. cardamom
3 cups rolled oats
1 1/3 cups dried cranberries

DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream butter and both sugars until fluffy. Slowly add eggs and vanilla to butter/sugar mixture. Combine all dry ingredients in a separate bowl. Add butter/sugar mixture to dry ingredients and stir well until blended. Coat cranberries lightly in flour. Add to mixture. Drop mounded teaspoonfuls onto parchment covered baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until lightly golden. Let cool for a few minutes and enjoy!

SIDE NOTE: These cookies are sort of like snowflakes. No batch ever comes out looking like the other so don't worry if they look a bit different each time you make them! They'll still be just as delicious :)

OOTD: Sherbet Cooler

Hey everyone! It has been waaaaay too long! Sorry about that. I've been busy with IIN, PLUS if you have Frontier as your internet server you'll know that they've been having some connection issues lately. Anywho, all you need to know is that I'm back and the posts will be coming on a more regular basis! Thanks for being patient! Hope everyone had a great weekend:)
